Manchester Today – Giveaway Terms & Conditions (UK)

The promoter of all giveaways is Manchester Today (“the Promoter”). By entering any giveaway run by Manchester Today, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Eligibility

2.1. Giveaways are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, unless otherwise stated.2.2. Employees of Manchester Today, associated partners, or anyone professionally connected with the giveaway may not enter.2.3. 3.1. Entry methods will be clearly stated in each giveaway post (e.g. like, share, comment, follow).3.2. Only one entry per person is permitted unless otherwise specified.3.3. Entries must be genuine. The use of bots, fake accounts, or automated entries will result in disqualification.3.4. Entries submitted after the stated closing date will not be counted.

4. Giveaway Period

4.1. Each giveaway will specify a start date and closing date/time.4.2. The Promoter reserves the right to extend, shorten, or cancel the giveaway at any time due to unforeseen circumstances.

5. Prize Details

5.1. The prize(s) will be clearly described in the giveaway post.5.2. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative will be offered unless stated.5.3. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.5.4. Any additional costs (e.g. travel, collection, delivery fees unless stated) are the responsibility of the winner.

6. Winner Selection

6.1. Winners will be selected at random or via the method stated in the giveaway post.6.2. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.6.3. Winners will be notified via the platform used (e.g. Facebook, email) within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Claiming the Prize

7.1. Winners must respond within 48 hours (or timeframe stated in the post).7.2. If a winner fails to respond within this period, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.7.3. Proof of identity may be required before the prize is issued.

8. Publicity

8.1. By entering, participants agree that the Promoter may use their name and/or social media handle for promotional purposes without additional compensation.8.2. Winners may be asked to participate in promotional content (optional).

9. Social Media Disclaimer

9.1. Giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform.9.2. By entering, participants release these platforms from any responsibility.

10. Liability

10.1. The Promoter is not responsible for:

• Lost, delayed, or incomplete entries

• Technical failures or platform issues

• Any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation or prize use

10.2. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Data Protection

11.1. Any personal data provided will be used solely for administering the giveaway and in accordance with UK data protection laws (including the UK GDPR).11.2. Data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

12. Fraud & Misconduct

12.1. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

• Attempts to manipulate the giveaway

• Uses multiple or fake accounts

• Breaches these Terms

13. General

13.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.13.2. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining sections will still apply.13.3.
