Business Appeal: Support Needed to Help Restore Lodge Mill

Following recent demolition work at Lodge Mill, attention has now turned to clearing the engine house gardens and restoring access to one of the site’s last remaining structures.

This is a community-led project, but additional support from local businesses could make a significant and lasting impact. Organisers have outlined a number of items and services that would greatly assist the ongoing work:

  • Hand tools (brick hammers, screwdrivers, general tools)

  • Large plant pots for the garden areas

  • Garden tools (to support work around historic Cheapside)

  • Roller shutter repair support

  • Toilets and hand basins (for future on-site use)

  • Lime mortar (for heritage-appropriate repairs)

  • Cement mixer


Any business able to supply, donate, loan, or assist with any of the above would be providing direct, meaningful support to the project. In recognition of your support, Manchester Today is offering FREE advertising to all contributing businesses.
