Teen Arrested After E-Scooter Collision Involving Mother and Baby in Middleton

Police were called to reports of a collision involving an electric scooter and a mother with her baby in Middleton

Officers attended the scene where it was reported that an electric Siron scooter had been involved in a collision with a woman who was pushing a pram.
The mother sustained minor injuries, while the baby was assessed by paramedics and was found to be unharmed. Both were checked over by the ambulance service at the scene, and no further medical treatment was required.
The rider of the electric scooter, a 16-year-old boy, also received treatment from paramedics for a bleeding injury.
Following enquiries at the scene, officers recovered a machete from the teenager. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
