Man dies after car hits central reservation on the M62

The motorway was shut off for hours after the crash yesterday.

A man has died after a crash on the M62 motorway.
The man - aged in his 30s - was in a car with two other people when it smashed into the central reservation, police said. He sadly died at the scene on the westbound carriageway near Rochdale.
Another man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. A third man was left with minor injuries.
The westbound carriageway of the motorway between junctions 21 and 20 was closed off for hours yesterday after the incident for investigation work. It was reopened at around 10pm.
Police investigating the crash are now asking any witnesses to come forward. They also want to speak to anyone who has dash cam or phone footage from around the time.
