A Greater Manchester Police Constable answered allegations today that his conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour for Discreditable Conduct contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.

Manchester Today attended a misconduct hearing that took place in room 433 at Greater Manchester Police Force Headquarters for a Greater Manchester Police Officer PC Finley.
PC Finley was facing the misconduct hearing for sexual misconduct with a member of the public on several occasions in August 2021.
PC Finley took full responsibility for his actions and admit that he had let the members of the public down, the police force down and his work colleagues down.
Chief Constable Stephen Watson ordered that PC finley should be dismissed from the force and added to the police barring list. Chief Constable Stephen Watson also requested that the finding of the hearing should be published in the normal way but to redact the officer's name for the welfare and health issues of PC finley.
Manchester Today will always put the good people of Manchester first and we feel that in no way should this officer's name be hidden from members of the public, especially under the circumstances of the misconduct.
